‘We spent 10 days in and around the rural communities in Malawi, meeting some fantastic people along the way. We set up outreach eyecare clinics and performed hundreds of sight tests, providing glasses and referrals to hospital for those who needed them. Additionally, we funded 40 cataract surgeries which we had the opportunity to observe. We were able to meet the Ophthalmology registrars and taught them refraction, along with helping out on ward rounds and at paediatric eye clinics. 

We were fortunate enough to visit and spend time at an orphanage where we undertook 200 sight tests on the children. The children were delighted with their gifts of pens and bracelets that you kindly donated so we would like to thank you for your donation and contributing to what was a wonderful experience and opportunity for us all’.

‘We’ve returned from Ghana and we all had an amazing time and are so grateful to have been given the opportunity to travel and help as many people as we did. Over the course of the trip, we saw over 400 patients in 5 different communities and were also given the chance to help out at Bishop Ackon Memorial Christian Eye Centre and the University of Cape Coast Eye Clinic. We’d like to thank you once again for your kind donation of frames and assorted pieces of equipment.'
