Terms & Conditions

Louis Stone Optical Ltd aim to deliver quality goods from stock on receipt of a purchase order and payment within their terms and conditions below:

MAKING AN ORDER
When you place an order for a product, or products, from Louis Stone Optical Limited you are agreeing to buy it at the price stated, and you agree to these terms & conditions.

Online - on receipt of your order an automatic response will be sent (please check it). Should you need to amend your order or spot any discrepancies phone the sales office immediately on +44 (0)29 2073 5293

By phone - orders can be made by phoning our sales team on +44 (0)29 2073 5293. We endeavour to send out all orders received by 4.00pm overnight if in stock. If items ordered are not in stock you will be informed of expected delivery date.

A fully detailed invoice will accompany all deliveries.

Back orders - If you do not require back orders, please inform us on making original order.

PRICES
All prices quoted on our website are subject to VAT for UK customers only (at present). All prices quoted in GB Sterling (£). All prices & product information are accurate and are constantly kept up to date. Louis Stone Optical Ltd reserves the right to make adjustments to prices and information at any time. If this occurs & affects an order we will contact you as soon as possible, so that you can agree to any changes, make an amendment or cancel the order. PAYMENT
Terms : Settlement by 25th of month following invoice date.

Price discounts are only valid if settlement of account is made by 25th of month following invoice date. Thus if any purchases were made in one month payment would be expected by 25th of month following month purchases were made in. Late payment will result in the forfeiture of any previously agreed discounts.

If you do not pay on the date when payment is due we shall be entitled to interest from the due payment date until payment monies have been received by Louis Stone Optical Ltd. Interest will be 4% above the Bank of England minimum lending rate.

Ownership of goods remain with Louis Stone Optical Ltd until payment has been received in full.

Post dated cheques are not accepted unless by prior agreement from our accounts department. A small admin charge may be made on cheque card transactions.

From time to time Louis Stone Optical may have special offers, promotions, sales (Black Friday) etc.. on certain products. We will not accept previous orders back to take advantage of the above.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY
Louis Stone Optical Ltd takes the security of your personal information very seriously. All card payments are processed through Secure Trading who supply us with a secure online payment system, guaranteeing that your personal details and transactions are secure. SecureTrading are fully accredited as a Level 1 PCI DSS compliant provider, the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) which is essential to all businesses who take card payments from their customers. All businesses that store, process or transmit cardholder data are required to be PCI compliant. Any business which is not compliant may receive heavy fines. PCI is a standard set out by the top 5 major credit organisations to ensure that anyone who processes, stores, or transmits cardholder data has robust processes and hardened network I.T. infrastructure – referred to as the PCI data security standard (DSS).

You can sleep easy knowing that we are fully PCI compliant.

DELIVERY
All orders are normally dispatched within 3-5 days. If the item is out of stock or requires special customization we aim to dispatch these items within 10-15 working days and will be made apparent at point of sale. If there is likely to be a delay we will inform you as soon as possible. Delivery charges consist of courier charge, insurance, packing and documentation.

For orders delivered outside the UK, purchaser is responsible for all taxes, fees etc in country of delivery. Should payment not be made of these charges when requested by local courier/delivery company we will refuse any return or a claim for a refund.

ALWAYS SIGN LEGIBLY
If nobody is present when a delivery is made we cannot be responsible for organizing a new delivery time, this will be for you to arrange with courier/royal mail etc.

HANDLING AND SHIPPING
Louis Stone Optical Ltd deliver worldwide subject to Force Majeure or any such shipping updates enforced. To ensure quick, efficient and secure delivery we use several trusted delivery partners FedEx, Optical Courier Service (OCS), Royal Mail, TNT & UPS.

Ireland - Due to Brexit export procedure to Ireland has changed considerably, we now have to spend more time on documentation. All orders may be subject to VAT/taxes placed in Ireland via Irish courier/customs. You are responsible for these charges, which must be paid immediately when requested. We will not accept return deliveries due to non payment of these charges.Note delivery charges have increased as couriers have taken advantage of the situation. Please provide full practice name, full address, contact number and a VAT number with all orders.

GUARANTEE
Louis Stone Optical Ltd guarantees all products for 12 months from date of purchase against faulty materials or manufacturing process.

We do not guarantee products due to wear and tear, misuse of product, accidental damage or attempted repairs.

Certain Volk model lens are guaranteed for 10 years [LENS ONLY] with reference to conditions in above paragraph. We cannot accept any returns on Volks which have been engraved for replacement.

Certain products are accompanied with further information and handbooks, we recommend you read them before using product especially sections relating to cleaning Volk lens and adjusting Oculus temples.

For a guarantee claim you will need to contact rma@louisstone.co.uk with your original invoice number and if possible a clear picture signalling damaged area. Do not send a return unless you have been forwarded an RMA number.

Please note that products illustrated online and in our catalogue like colours of frames, frame cases and some optical instruments, may differ due to the lighting products and materials reflection when being photographed.

RMA RETURNS
Please inspect all orders thoroughly on receipt. If you believe goods are damaged or faulty, please email our sales team on info@louisstone.co.uk within 7 days of date of invoice otherwise claims cannot be made. Should you need to contact us regarding any product problems, in first instance contact rma@louisstone.co.uk and provide invoice number and date of your order, your full name and address and nature of your enquiry. For instrument enquiries please provide pictures indicating area of complaint. No goods are sent out on approval or sale and return. Should you return a product you dont require, if accepted by Louis Stone a 20% restocking fee will be charge.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
We endeavour to respond to all complaints within three working days. Please email info@louisstone.co.uk or call us on +44 (0)29 2073 5293. If for any reason we cannot resolve your complaint immediately we will advise you on how long we expect it will take and keep you fully informed throughout the process.
